Final call
According to the Breakthrough National Centre for Climate Restoration, by 2050 the temperature will rise not by 2, but by 3 degrees Celsius, so our civilisation could be extinct in 31 years. Glaciers are on the rise, but this will be just one of the problems we will have to face. Due to global warming, we will face great droughts, fires and floods, which will not only occur more often, but also with greater force. Unfortunately, this will result in the destruction of the Amazon forest. Once tropical forests have disappeared, the disaster will affect arable fields, and 1/3 of our planet will turn into a desert. In addition, there will be 20 days in a year when people will not be able to survive.
Unfortunately, Poland is one of the countries which, to a large extent, contribute to the worsening of the global climate situation.
So what can we do personally to help our planet?
Here are literally a few solutions.
1. Limit plastic!
Did you know that a standard plastic bottle decays from 100 to even 1000 years! Of course, it can be difficult to give up plastic packaging overnight, so try to start with glass returnable bottles, and these plastic bottles can be used to make clothes. Try not to use plastic straws - choose paper, bamboo or metal straws.
2. Reusable shopping bag!
Currently, shopping bags offered in shops are paid for, which was supposed to discourage people from buying them - but I have the impression that they are ineffective. Bet on fabric, solidly made bags, which are currently sold in different color variants. So they can also become a part of your wardrobe. Pay attention to wicker baskets as well!
3. Save water and electricity!
Turn off the heating on warmer days, turn off the water when you leave home, turn off the lights, and remove the phone charger from your contact! Little things, yet so important.
4. Throw the garbage in the trash can!
Every day should be treated by us as "Earth Day". Nature pays a high price for our stupidity and laziness. How many times have you seen rubbish in the forest? Unfortunately, some people are not afraid to do this, because they want to avoid the charges. Fortunately, for several years now, devices have been installed to catch these thoughtless people.
As I said before, these are just a few of the possible ways to help our planet. The most important thing is to be aware of what we have done against the Earth, and to do everything in our power to minimize the losses.
